On-Grid systems are universal technology and accepted by all over the world. This method is a professional method for utility Grid and used by all renewable energy power plants like wind, hydro and solar power plants.
On-Grid PV systems are designed to operate in parallel with and interconnected with the utility grid.
The primary component String/Central inverter converts the DC power produced by the PV array into AC power consistent with the voltage and power quality requirements of the utility grid, and automatically stops supplying power to the grid when the utility grid is not energized.
The system with bidirectional battery inverter is called Off-grid system. All the things are same as on-grid system.
The differences are:- grid connected solar system does not include a battery since all of the energy is consumed as it is produced whereas in off-grid, the battery inverter stores the energy produced for further consumption and eliminates the necessity of Grid power or Generator.
This system is applicable for wherever grid power is not available and electrical load is very big.
Running with Hybrid Solar PV energy system, we can reduce the electricity bills as well as get power back up for the duration of power cuts. This unit includes small or medium size solar panels, charge controllers, solar inverters, tubular batteries and safety devices.
Working Principle
When sufficient sunlight is available, Solar panel supplies the DC current to the charge controllers. The charge controller charges the battery until the desired voltage. When the battery gets fully charged, an automated system cut off the grid power to inverter. Now the inverter starts working with solar energy. Thus we reduce the consumption from grid.
